Then, Perry worked for Nabisco, Cox Auto Supply and Mount Marty College as a night security officer. He was a very hard worker and took much pride in his work. Perry was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed Wheel of Fortune night with Don and Vi and watching baseball games, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Perry also liked woodworking and bowling in his younger years. Above all, he loved visiting with his close friends and being around his grandchildren.

Perry is survived by three sons: Dean Slagle (Julie DeYonge) of Yankton, Galen Slagle of Sioux City, IA and Mike Slagle of Rapid City; two grandchildren, Aidan and Brooklyn Slagle of Rapid City; two sisters, Karen Folkers of Yankton and Cleo (Dave) Masur of Clearlake, CA; one brother, Dallas Slagle of Pueblo, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

I fondly remember Pepy since he was little, the a great cook at the restaurant in south yankton, and the time we got to see each other when we both worked at Morgens. Great cousin and we will miss him.

I am a renter at Don and Vi's place and come to know Perry since I moved to Yankton in 2009, he loved coming over the Don and Vi's place and enjoyed the company. Perry never had an enemy and was a compassionate man, GOD rest his soul. He brought over fresh green beans and corn, I will miss his red pickup coming over on Locust street.

We were so very sorry to hear of Perry's passing. We lived a short distance from him on Locust Street in Yankton and we spend many a day growing up and working. Perry was always a person you could place your complete trust in. He was an even-tempered person who was the "calm in the storm". His children can be very proud of their father. He was a great father, friend and mentor to many around him. He will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I have known Perry for 7 years. We met when he worked for Nabisco. We are very good friends and had fun doing things like taking rides in the country, eating at each others houses and getting supplies so Perry could work on his house. I always thought he had the best looking pickup in town. I miss his presence. He was a good man.
