Joan A. Jueden

Joan A. Jueden, age 92, of Hartington, Nebraska died on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska.

A private family service will be held and arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton, South Dakota.

Joan Allene was born on August 23, 1933 in Hartington, Nebraska to Allan and Blanche (Lee) Hirschman. She grew up in Hartington and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1951. Joan married Ernest Eugene Jueden on October 10, 1951 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington. After their marriage, she and Ernie farmed east of Hartington until moving into town in 2014. Joan was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and loved to go dancing with Ernie.

Joan is survived by her son, Butch (Rhelda) Jueden of Maskell, NE; daughter, Kathy (Dave) Bohlken of Hartington, NE; her grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie on March 20, 2022; son, Ron Jueden; and grandson, Heath Jueden.

Mom, sometimes when the love is the strongest, that’s when the fewest words are needed.
