Lester James Six Toes, age 78, of Vermillion, South Dakota, was born on April 12, 1948 and died on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton, South Dakota.

A celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 AM on July 11, 2026, at Living Stone Apostolic Church in Vermillion, South Dakota with Pastor Harold Marshall and Evg. Craig Marshall officiating and music performed by Melissa Zephier. Burial will be July 18, 2026, on the Old Six Toes Family Homestead in White River, South Dakota. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.

Urn bearers will be: Drew Six Toes, Sage Six Toes, Marshall Diaz, Micah Marshall, and Todd Six Toes. Honorary Urnbearers will be: Alvin Bear Heels, Anthony Castaway, Ben Krogman, Nursing Staff of Majestic Bluffs Care Center in Yankton, former hunting friends and all other friends and family.
