Caring Testimonials

We would like to express our gratitude to you and the staff at Wintz & Ray Funeral Home. Thank you doesn't seem adequate to express how grateful our family is. Your thoughtfulness and attention to detail during our difficult time is unprecedented. We appreciate your kindness and caring from the minute Charles passed away until he was laid to rest. You and your staff made a difficult time as easy as possible and everything was well coordinated. You allowed us to say goodbye to our husband, father, and grandpa in a peaceful manner that honored the life of Charles. We felt very comforted and at home with you. Thank you for the attention to detail that made Charlie's funeral a difficult, yet proud day. Your extra work has not gone unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. Charlie would have been proud!

With much appreciation and gratitude,

The Charles Bender family

Thank you all for the caring shown to me during a very dark time in my life. The way you handled everything was a tremendous help to me at a time when even minor decisions were difficult. Many family members have commented on your professionalism and caring. We all appreciate what you did for us.

Thank you,

Marge Heckenlaible

Since Art Blaalid was first diagnosed you have embraced us with your love and support.

We'd like to thank the Siouxland Blood Bank for all the units of blood and platelets that Art required. For anyone that has ever donated blood, you have no idea what a blessing it is for those in need. Our hope is this encourages others to donate.

We want to thank Dr. Neumayr at Yankton Medical Clinic and the infusion center of YMC, especially Radar and Robot (you know who you are). Our thanks also so Dr. Beth Mikkelson at Sacred Heart and for the great nursing care Art received there. Our appreciation also goes to Dr. Jonathan Bleeker at Sanford Clinic in Sioux Falls who helped guide us through this journey.

To our church family at Trinity Lutheran we thank you for your support and the wonderful lunch you served. Our thanks to the staff at Wintz & Ray Funeral Home for your compassionate service and also to the Ernest-Bowyer VFW 791 for the military rites.

And lastly, to all our friends we offer our gratitude for your emotional support, the wonderful food you shared and all your prayers and well wishes.

Art fought the good fight and felt your love and caring throughout.

Marlys Blaalid and Family
