Viola M. Leise, age 91 of St. Helena, Nebraska died on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Hartington, NE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church in St. Helena, Nebraska with the Rev. Eric Olsen officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Helena. Visitation will be on Sunday at church from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at church one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Pallbearers will be Brad Klug, Tim Hochstein, Brian Hochstein, Jeff Hochstein, Chad Jansen, and Kyle Jansen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Viola's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Viola Mary Leise was born on September 26, 1920 in St. Helena, Nebraska to Henry and Anna (Bruening) Wuebben. She grew up in St. Helena and worked for a family in Yankton prior to her marriage. Viola married Frank Rudolph Leise on October 21, 1941 in St. Helena. She lived most of her married life on a farm two miles south of St. Helena.
Viola was a member of Holy Family (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church, the St. Mary's Altar Society, Christian Mothers, Ministry of Praise and the Cedar Knox Good Neighbors Group. She loved her flower bed, reading, cooking and having formal dinner gatherings with her family. Viola was a very faith filled person and Catholic education and Christian values were important to her. She always had an extra special love for people with special needs.
She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Linda and Joe Hochstein of St. Helena, NE; Bonnie and Al Jansen of Fordyce, NE; Carla and Jeff Maibaum of Yankton, SD; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank on January 8, 2011 at the age of 93 years, two sons Daryl and Carl Leise, four sisters Theresa (Paul) Schneider, Dora Wuebben, Hulda (Frank) Schneider, and Leona Wuebben; brother Rudolph (Louise) Wuebben.
