I remember when I was in pre-school that was many years ago when I met charlie for the first time. He took my hand as we walked down the halls of stewart elementary. He talked with me. Charlie worked with me as a kid and I will never forget him, he was a kind, gentle man the kind that could be trusted by any parent. He had a kind heart that will never be forgotten. Charlie was one of Vernon's "Brothers" and he thought very highly of him. He always told me, "Charlie and me put a lot of miles on the bikes together". Every now and again a story would come out about what the two of them had done way back when......and they were always good stories. Those were the times that gave us such good times when they happened and pleasure again many years later when we re-visit them in our memories.
