Yvonne G. “Bonnie” Neuhalfen, age 89 of Crofton, Nebraska died on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, Nebraska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton. Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be on Friday, at church, from 5-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Neuhalfen, T.J. Harmelink, London Capozi, Harley Hegge, Chet Hegge, and Jordan Schaefer. Honorary pallbearers will be Bonnie’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Yvonne Gertrude “Bonnie” was born on November 4, 1936 in Crofton, Nebraska to Chet and Gertrude Helen (Noecker) Boardman. She grew up in Crofton. Bonnie married Daniel Alvin Neuhalfen on January 23, 1956 in Crofton. She worked as a waitress at Bogner’s Steakhouse and Lounge in Crofton. She and Daniel owned the feed store in Crofton for a while until moving to Michigan from 1966-1976, where Dan worked in Manufacturing. They later moved to the Crofton area and owned the Lakeview Resort in Santee, Nebraska. Bonnie also worked at the Sunshine grocery store in Yankton in the 1990’s. Bonnie kept busy taking care of a lot of her grandchildren. Dan died on February 15, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Bonnie moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield on 9/4/2024.

Bonnie was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and its Ladies Guild. She and Daniel loved to dance, go camping and wintering in Texas. Bonnie loved being by the water and taking in the sunrise and sunsets. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her “Spam" salad by her family. She loved doing upholstery work and interior design work.

Bonnie is survived by her three sons Steve (Kym) Neuhalfen of St. Charles, MI, Tyrone Neuhalfen of Tabor, SD, Joseph (Kim) Neuhalfen of Bloomfield; three daughters Varyna (Bruce) Hegge of Omaha, Rhonda (Paul) Bennett of Sioux Falls, SD, Denice (Lance) Anderson of Tabor, SD; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two sisters Darlene Henderson of Belton, MO, Janice (Jim) Steffen of Fordyce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel; two brothers Loy & Dean Boardman; three sisters Elaine Higgins, Melva Morrisey, Alice Dirks; great grandson Legend Zweber, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
