Steven “Steve” Tuttle, age 65, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota, with Reverend Michael Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Yankton Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home.

Steven “Steve” Tuttle was born May 17, 1960, in St. Charles, Illinois to Arthur and Bernice (Sparks) Tuttle. He grew up in Westmont, Illinois and graduated from Westmont High School in 1978. He attended a tech school for computing in Illinois and then began working as a finisher in his brother Gerald’s, cabinet manufacturing factory. He later worked as a body man at Kubis Autobody Shop in Westmont, Illinois and then became a home builders project manager. Eventually Steve moved to Yankton to help out his parents and worked at Freeman/Applied Engineering. Steve enjoyed listening to music, drag racing, cars and boating. He was a caring, hardworking man, who was always giving to others and willing to help anyone.
Survivors include his three brothers: Gerald (Nancy) Tuttle of Gaylord, Michigan; Keith (Karen Bourne) Tuttle of Plainfield, Illinois; and Daniel (Peggy) Tuttle of Spring, Texas; nieces and nephews: Kevin (Debra) Tuttle, Sandra Tuttle, Cory (Keila) Tuttle and Chuck Tuttle Jr. as well as four great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Bernice Tuttle; brother, Chuck Tuttle Sr; and sister-in-law, Jan Tuttle.
