Russell Parks Bradford, age 77 of Laurel, Nebraska died on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel. Due to the current health guidelines, a private service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Warner officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church Facebook page which is “Immanuel Lutheran – Laurel, Nebraska”.  A recorded version of the service will be posted to www.immanuellutheranlaurelne.com the following day. Russell was born on November 24, 1942 to Bennett “BW” and Nancy (Cooper) Bradford in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up and attended school in Omaha, graduating from Central High School. After high school, Russell attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and then continued his college education in Oakland, California. Russell moved back to Omaha and worked as a Medical Sales Rep for the majority of his life. On February 25, 1994, Russell married Kathleen Vint in Lincoln, NE. The two of them moved back to Laurel in 2016 after they retired. Russell was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel and the Sesostris Shrine in Lincoln. He and Kathy enjoyed golfing and traveling together. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Russell is survived by his wife, Kathy Bradford of Laurel; children, Teri Anderson of New York, NY, Susan Benson of Omaha, NE, Eric and Jill Sohler of Laurel, NE, Emily Sohler-Downs and her husband Greg of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Nancy; and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Bradford.
