Patricia “Pat” Suing was born August 16, 1951, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Theodore and Cordula (Lange) Bonertz.  She grew up in St. Helena, Nebraska where she attended grade school.  She graduated from Wynot High School in 1969 and began working at Mtron in Yankton.   She married Bob Suing on August 12, 1972, in St. Helena, Nebraska.  Pat then worked for Gurney Seed and Nursery in Yankton in the finance and mail order department.  After her first son, Mike was born; Pat stopped working to focus on raising her family.  They raised their children on a small farm near Menominee for 25 years and were members of St. Boniface Catholic Church.  After her last son Bryan was in school, Pat went back to work at Gurney’s in Yankton for a short time and then took a job with Vishay Dale Electronics.   They moved to Crofton in 2001 and after working 27 years at Vishay Dale, Pat retired in 2019.

Pat loved her husband, Robert deeply.  She was grateful for the support of her husband and their children through the many challenges of her illness.  She would watch Mass every morning and loved her word finds and the Game Show Network.  Everyone enjoyed her cooking and looked forward to family gatherings.   She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Ladies Guild, Christian Mothers, and the American Legion Axillary.
