Pat B. Pommerville, age 80, of Lesterville, South Dakota, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM on May 12, 2025, at Salem Reformed Church in Menno, South Dakota, with Reverend Michael Hecht officiating. Burial will be in the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
Patricia Belle Pommerville was born October 18, 1944, in Tacoma, Washington, to Harold and Mary (Davis) Blazier. She grew up in Livingston, Montana until 1951 when her family moved to Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland in 1962 and married Lee Pommerville on September 12, 1964, in Portland. They continued to live in Portland and Pat worked as a seamstress for Jantzen’s, sewing swimsuits and swimwear. She then began working for the State Accident Fund for the State or Oregon. During all of this time she also babysat for many people. After their retirement they moved to Lesterville, South Dakota in 2011 to be closer to their family.
Pat loved being a wife and mother. She had enough love for ten children but only had one. She loved taking care of Lee as well as working with the ladies at Salem Reformed Church in Menno. She was very active in the 4-0’s Women’s Group at the church. She was a special woman, great sister and loving mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would do anything for them. She enjoyed sewing, her flowers, being outdoors and riding with Lee on their motorcycle.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Tammy) Pommerville of Lesterville; two grandchildren: Jeff (Tiffany) Pommerville of Lesterville and Venessa Teegarden of Yankton; six great grandchildren: Zack, Kylie, Tracy, Brooklynn, Trinity and Elliot; sister, Jackie Knotts of Boring, Oregon and brother, Phill (Carol) Blazier of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee on March 10, 2022; sister, Ruby Wilson and two brothers: Floyd Heath and Jim Blazier.
