Mindy Jeffers

Mindy Jeffers, age 61, of Sioux City, Iowa, died on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Human Services Center in Yankton, South Dakota.

A private family burial will take place at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz and Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.

Mindy was born June 1, 1963 in Sioux City, Iowa to Roger and Beverly (Allen) Jeffers. She grew up in Sioux City and attended West High School, later obtaining her GED. Mindy lived in Sioux City most of her life where she worked in various jobs. She spent the last year of her life in Yankton at the Human Services Center.

Mindy loved coloring, watching movies and listening to music. She loved all animals and enjoyed the company of her many pets which she had throughout the years. Mindy also had a love for unicorns. She was a kind, sweet, friendly, tender-hearted woman who always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Mindy had this real, authentic love that just radiated from her. She was so proud of her son, Ted, and the man he became. She will be greatly missed.

Mindy is survived by her son, Ted Keleher Jr. of Sioux City; her parents, Roger and Beverly Jeffers of Sioux City; and several other relatives.
