Mary Rose Pinkelman age 70 of Wynot, Nebraska died on Tuesday, March 07, 2023 at the Arbor Care Center in Hartington, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Burial will be in the Sts. Philip & James Cemetery in St. James, Nebraska. Visitation will be on Friday, at church, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Pallbearers will be Brian Pinkelman, Dennis Pinkelman, Doug Pinkelman, Eric Pinkelman, and David Newsam. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Mary Rose was born on November 12, 1952 to Thomas Charles and Theresa Appalonia (Becker) Moser in Bow Valley, NE. She grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Wynot High School. Mary Rose married Richard Joseph Pinkelman on September 11, 1971 in Bow Valley, NE. Mary Rose was a proud homemaker of five children, Mary Rose was instrumental in the formation of the St. James Marketplace. She also worked for Lewis and Clark Visitator Center and Cedar County Transit through the years. She made rose rosaries and had been a member of Sts. Philip and James and a current member of Holy Family Parish. Mary Rose loved sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking, bowling, and most of all she loved being with her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed going out to the pasture to choose their Christmas tree, baking cookies for her grandchildren, canning and freezing her produce.
Mary Rose is survived by her husband Richard of Wynot; her five children Brian Pinkelman and fiance Ashley Strong of Vermillion, SD, Dennis (Joy) Pinkelman of St. Joseph, MO, Doug (Tracy) Pinkelman of Wynot, Eric (Nikki) Pinkelman of Hartington, Amy (David) Newsam of Hartington; 20 grandchildren Shaun, Darin, Logan, Brooklynn, Jade; Shaun (Lazliana), Emma, Tessa, Lea, Wade; Wes, Josh, Alex, Zach; Addison, Taylor, Mya, Derik; Katelyn, Mason, and Grayson; five siblings Ray (Natashia) Moser of Bow Valley, NE, Carl (Susan) Moser of Colorado Springs, CO, Paul (Mavis) Moser of South Sioux City, NE, Karen (Mel) Miksch of Columbus, NE, Patty (Doug) Kortan of Utica, SD; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Helen Pinkelman of Wynot.
Mary Rose was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barb Houlsworth, brothers Thomas Charles Moser and John Moser.
