Mary Ann Hansen

Mary Ann Hansen age 99 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Arbor Care Center in Hartington. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hartington.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday morning at church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Pallbearers will be Wade Winkelbauer, Mason Kovar, Miles Kovar, Jeff Parker, Jarad Miller, Shawn Hansen. Honorary pallbearers will be Delila Cooper, Sheila Schmidt, Cheri Morten, Sharon Fiscus, Judy Kuchta, and Pat Meyer. Mary Ann was born on January 1, 1923 in Wynot, Nebraska to John and Martha (Kathol) Schulte.  She graduated from elementary school at St. Helena, NE in 1936 and from Holy Trinity Catholic High School in 1940.  Mary Ann worked as a secretary for Emergency Feed and Seed Loan Office in Hartington and also worked in Omaha, NE.  Mary Ann married Norman Albert Hansen on May 4^th, 1944 at Saint Mary Magdeline Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. She loved music, square dancing, ballroom dancing, bowling, golfing, and flowers.  She also loved working with preschool children at Future Promise and playing cards with her lady friends. Mary Ann is survived by her two children Ron (Judy) Hansen of Omaha, NE, Jean McCorkindale of Fremont, NE; six grandchildren – Tiffany, Shawn, Michelle, Angie, Wade, and Kamile; twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman on 10/26/2010 at the age of 90 years; son Larry Hansen; son-in-law John McCorkindale; two sisters Carola and Beverly at birth; eight brothers Wendell, Rieny, Harold, Virgil “Bud”, Earl, Jim, John, and Allen Schulte.
