Margaret M. Korth, age 92 of Randolph, Nebraska died peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Osmond Hospital in Osmond, NE while on Hospice care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph with the Rev. David Korth officiating. Burial will be at St. Frances Cemetery in Randolph. Visitation will be on Sunday, at church, from 4-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday morning prior to the mass. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Korth, Russ Korth, Kevin Korth, Brad Bloomquist, Brach Bloomquist, Daniel Korth, Jake Korth and Austin Korth. Honorary pallbearers will be Margaret’s granddaughters.

Margaret Mary was born on March 27, 1933 in Hartington, Nebraska, the youngest of 12 children to Peter and Mary (Meyer) Gubbels. She grew up four miles west of Hartington. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School at the age of 16. Margaret received her Teacher Training Certificate and taught for three years.

Margaret married Leonard “Butch” Korth on April 20, 1953. They farmed northeast of Randolph for 59 years. They had seven children.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a member of St. Jane Frances Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Omaha Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women, serving on the Board for 10 years. She was a member of the Serra Club of Norfolk. She was generous to many Catholic organizations.

After Leonard passed on July 2, 2012, she married Neil Bloomquist on Oct. 10, 2015 at the age of 82. They enjoyed 7 wonderful years together before Neil passed.

Margaret worked very hard to provide for her family: gardening, canning, baking, sewing, cleaning chickens. But she also loved to dance, travel, visit relatives, golf, bowl, play cards.

Margaret is survived by her six children and spouses: Russell Korth and friend Koni of Denton, NE, Dr. Karen Korth and Greg of Crofton, Mike (Deb) Korth of Randolph, Susan (Troy) Krupicka of Omaha, Mark (Karla) Korth of Randolph, Fr. David Korth of Omaha; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 7 step-children; 16 step-grandchildren. She also loved hosting two foreign exchange students.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, infant son Kevin, husband Neil, 11 siblings Casper Gubbels, Veronica Neuhalfen, Ray Gubbels, Cy Gubbels, Irene Solberg, Dorothy Gubbels, Louis “Doc” Gubbels, Francis Gubbels, Marie Lammers, Martin Gubbels, and Deloris Nissen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cardinal Kids Learning Center of Randolph, NE or CUES School System of Omaha, NE.
