Lois married Michael Schieffer on August 12, 1989 in St. Helena, NE. She worked at M-Tron in Yankton for five years before helping her husband Michael on the farm. She helped milk cows until they sold their dairy herd about 2 ½ years ago. Lois loved animals and especially her dogs and cats. She always made time to give them attention each day. Lois was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She raised a big garden and canned her produce. Lois was her own “Mr. Fixit” on the farm, tackling plumbing or machinery. She loved going to the casino and an occasional trip to Las Vegas. Lois had a green thumb which is evident both inside and outside her home.
