Kenny was born to Edward and Marlene (Shippy) Nebola on March 21, 1957 in Winner, SD. He was the second born of Ed and Marlene’s three children. He grew up in Yankton and attended public school. He enjoyed sports, especially wrestling, during his time there. Kenny worked various jobs in Yankton after his schooling, mostly at Freeman Company, over many years.
Kenny endured a lifetime of mental and physical illnesses and challenges, but he always seemed to overcome them and move on with life. Unfortunately, he succumbed to heart and kidney disease in the final weeks of his life.
Kenny’s family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the tremendous care provided to Kenny over the years by the care providers at HSC and at The Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall, SD. Without their tireless efforts, we would not have been blessed with having Kenny for as long as we did.
Kenny was beloved by his family and well-liked by those who knew him and cared for him throughout his life. We will miss him so much, but will be forever joyous in knowing Kenny is now wrapped in God’s loving arms and watching over his Dad and loved ones in heaven as he promised he would before he left us. We love you and will miss you always Kenny! Thank you for the life we had with you!
Kenny is survived by his mother, Marlene Nebola of Yankton, South Dakota; sisters: Dorinda (Joe) Zweck of Box Elder, South Dakota and Melinda (Jeff) Cotton of Yankton, South Dakota; aunts and uncle: Donna Shippy of Winner, South Dakota and Chan (Gert) Shippy, Yankton; nieces and nephews: Karissa Flick, Josh Hilfiker, Nathan (Aaron) Hilfiker, Ash (Jess) Cotton, Jeff Cotton, and Edward (Alexa) Cotton; and many cousins, grand nieces and nephews.
