Kenneth Joseph Arens, Sr., 81, of Parkville, MO passed away on January 13, 2026. Kenny was born on June 4, 1944, in Oakland, California to Edmund and Elizabeth (Ward) Arens.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hartington City Cemetery in Hartington, Nebraska with the Rev. Will Targy officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Hartington VFW Post #5283. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Kenny is survived by his children: Kenneth Joseph Arens II., Elizabeth Arens (Jack) Daniels, Charlene Arens (Chris) Sturgus and Darlene Arens; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, John L. (Rosie) Arens, Kathryn Adolph, Karen Baker, and DeeEtta Arens (Rick) Prentice; Aunt Dolores Ward Klima; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Edmund and Elizabeth Arens; siblings Edna Hand and Gerard Arens, and great twin nephews Steven and Ryan Adolph.
Kenny started working for intercontinental in Riverside, MO and he worked as an electrician for them. When Kenny wasn’t at work, he enjoyed bowling and had 300 game 3 times, 299 game 1 time and 298 game 1 time, and just missed having an 800 series.
He enjoyed having his children and grandchildren around and taking them to Worlds of Fun. He really loved his dogs, Frank and Ralph. Kenny enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and an avid Kansas State Wildcat fan. In Kenny’s young years, he enjoyed fishing and traveling to Europe. He was also a member of the Kansas National Guards, in Manhattan, KS.
