Julene Leonora White

Julene Leonora White, age 66, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away abruptly on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 after an acute hospitalization in Rapid City, South Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota with Reverend Katie Ricke officiating.  A celebration of life will be held on July 15, 2023 at the Best Western Kelly Inn.  More information is included at the bottom of this obituary page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Julene was born December 24, 1956 in Brookings, South Dakota, to Carl and Lillian (Snuggerud) Tjarks.  She married Milton Berle White on August 14, 1981 in Yankton, South Dakota.

Survivors include her husband, Milton White of Rapid City, South Dakota; two brothers: Roger (Gina) Tjarks of California and Dale Tjarks of Flandreau, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl; mother, Lillian and sister, LeeAnn Roth.
