Joel Edward Tyndall

Joel E. Tyndall, age 58 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington with Dwight Brummels officiating. There will be a visitation from 1-3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brother Richard Tyndall and Dan Steffen.

Joel Edward was born on January 21, 1967 in Alameda, California to Marion Arthur and Mamie Sue (Tucker) Tyndall. Joel graduated from Macy High School and then he attended WIT Nebraska Indian Community College. Joel went to the Police Academy in Nebraska and trained in accident investigation. Joel worked in Law Enforcement for over 20 years. Joel married Brenda Jean Brummels on January 29, 2001 in Pender, Nebraska. Joel and Brenda lived just south of Hartington on the farm.

Joel was passionate for cats, especially Bathaire and Clovis. He loved his family and friends, watching movies, cooking, the Huskers and the Raiders football team. Joel was also a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska.

Joel is survived by his wife Brenda of Hartington; a brother Richard Tyndall of Walthill, a sister Susan Tyndall of Walthill; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
