Deloris Janet “Jeanette” (Neal) Seefeldt, age 83, of Victorville, California, and formerly of Yankton, South Dakota, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Sterling Commons Memory Community in Victorville, California. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton. Jeanette was born May 20, 1937, in Bradley, South Dakota, to Chet and Dora (Miller) Neal. The family moved to Clark, South Dakota in 1944. Jeanette graduated from Clark High School in 1956. She then attended the Gale Institute and received a certificate of proficiency in Airline and Railroad communications. Following graduation, Jeanette was employed by First National Bank in Watertown, South Dakota. On December 21, 1957, she married Stanley Seefeldt at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clark. Shortly after their marriage, her husband re-enlisted in the U.S Air Force. They spent the next eight years traveling with tours of duty in Colorado, Minnesota, Japan, Thailand and California. In 1966, they decided to make Southern California their home and remained there for 40 years. In 2004, they retired and moved to Yankton, South Dakota. Jeanette became a widow in 2008 and spent the final two years of her life back in California with her daughter. Jeanette loved to travel, was an avid reader and continued her love of learning by taking an occasional class at the local Junior College. She worked part time for a while at Bank of America as well as J.C. Penny's and Broadway Department stores.  Her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother and homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Tom) Grady of Hesperia, California; three grandchildren: Kristin (Scott) Brown of Hesperia; Daniel (Lora) Grady of Redlands, California; and Andrew (Kirsten) Grady of Red Bluff, California; six great grandchildren: Logan, Ivy and Adalie Brown; Kylie and Oliver Grady; and Eleanor Grady; sister, Barbara (LaVern) Peterson of Watertown, South Dakota; four sisters-in-law: Diane Englund of Casa Grande, Arizona; Pati Seefeldt of Rapid City, South Dakota; Margaret Neal of Watertown; and Karen Neal of Wichita, Kansas; brother-in-law, Gordon Warne of Jim Falls, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stanley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard (Ethel) Neal, Cale (Alice) Neal, Donald Neal and Robert Neal; sister, Alice Warne and two brothers-in-law, David Seefeldt and Denny Hofer.
