Gerald was born July 26, 1970 in Pineville, Louisiana to Carol Randle and Eddie Lee. He grew up in Alexandria where he graduated from Bolton High School. Gerald then studied at Alexandria Vo-Tech and Delta-Ouachita Vocational Technical Institute. Gerald moved to Norfolk, NE in 1989 and worked at IBP. Then he moved to Sioux Falls where he spent the next 20 years and in 2009 moved to Yankton. He worked for Dakota Trailer and then started his own handyman business called G & G Handyman of 2016. He married Kari Bartels on June 10, 2018 in Yankton.
Gerald’s passion in life was fishing. Whenever he had some extra time, he would go down to the James River and fish for catfish which were close to record size. He was also an excellent cook and had the perfect red seasoning for his fish, plus he loved grilling ribs and chicken as well as cooking Southern Louisiana Gumbo. Gerald really enjoyed his time as a handyman. He was self-taught, very particular, and specialized in hanging drywall. His favorite store was going to Menards to buy his supplies for his jobs and entertainment.
Gerald treasured and loved his family more than anything. His children and grandchildren were everything to him. He was very devoted to God and was a loving and Spirit-filled Christian. He spoke in tongues and loved the Holy Spirit and teaching and preaching about God and his Word. I’ve always been so impressed with him that any subject matter that we talked about regarding God’s Word, he knew just what chapter and verse it was located at!!! He knew his BIBLE inside out!! While in Sioux Falls, he was witnessing to people on the streets and leading them to Jesus. Another way he witnessed was thru his NEXT LEVEL MINISTRY sermons online and had a very good following.
Gerald was always so appreciative and thankful for his life and all of the blessings he received throughout his life. He was touched many times by God’s grace and always showed God recognition for those blessings!! His life was a miracle in overcoming many obstacles.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Kari Bartels-Randle of Yankton; seven children: Apiffany Randle of Alexandria, LA, Franandis (Letishia) Dawson of New Orleans, LA, Keirrah Randle of Sioux Falls, SD, Jacob Randle of Sioux Falls, Mya Grotewold of Sioux Falls, and twins: Elijah and Ezra Randle of Yankton; stepchildren, Kloe and Oakley Gall of Yankton; two grandchildren, X’zanthia “Nuney” Quinney and O’Shun Blu; father, Eddie (Louise) Lee and mother, Carol Randle, all of Alexandria, LA; Gerald’s siblings: Trevis (Elaine) Randle of Alexandria, LA, Finesha Randle of Charlotte, NC, Nevely Randle of Sioux Falls, Kendrick Randle of Redfield, SD, Leon Randle of Alexandria, LA, Jamar Randle of Alexandria, LA, Eddie Loyden, Shon Loyden, Booie Loyden, Cassandra Henderson, Erick Lee, Schanata King, Frederick Orange, Tina Bowie, Willie D.
