Easton Gene Lubberstedt

Easton Gene Lubberstedt, son of Evan and Paige Lubberstedt of Wayne, NE was born on April 6,2022 and passed away on April 20,2022 in his parents’ arms at Unity Point Health in Sioux City, IA Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with Deacon Shane Kleinschmit officiating.  Easton will be buried at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Bow Valley.  Visitation will be on Saturday, at church, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Our little man is the light of our lives and we enjoyed every minute with him during our 14 days together. During that time, he was so strong and courageous. He was the feistiest little 2-pound baby boy who was a ladies’ man and loved to get the nurses attention and to be talked to frequently. He hated to be swaddled as he loved to stretch out his long legs and arms. He always knew Mom and Dad were near and would open his eyes to our voices and touch. Even though we long to hold him and have his little fingers hold on to our finger one more time, we know he is with us every moment of every day. He is now able to listen to all the Shania Twain songs and play with endless International Harvester tractors in Heaven. It is now Jesus’ turn to sing him the lullabies. Easton is survived by his parents, Evan and Paige Lubberstedt of Wayne, NE. Grandparents Dennis and Julie Wuebben (Hartington) and Stuart and Brenda Lubberstedt (Dixon). Great Grandparents Alton and Sharon Heimes (Hartington) and Dean and Beth Boeckenhauer (Wakefield). Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him to pieces including Bailey Wuebben, Connor and Shelby Wuebben (Hartington), Cara Lubberstedt and Garrett Taylor (Laurel), Tyler and Jaci Brunssen (Carroll) and Katie Carnell and Colt Johnson (Blair). Easton is preceded in death by Great Grandparents Gene and Rosemary Wuebben and Larry Lubberstedt.
