Doris R. Stucky, age 81, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Reverend DCruz Nicholas officiating. Entombment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home with prayers and video tribute at 7:00 PM. Pallbearers are her grandsons: Lukus Stucky, Joshua Stucky, Christopher Stucky, Jacob Stucky, Jarod Stucky, Tanner Termansen, and Brady Stucky. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters: Jessica Powell, Rachel Carda, Keri Bradley, Jennifer Head, Marisa Stucky, and Sarah Dimmick. Doris R. Stucky was born August 10, 1936 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Roy and Dorothy (Bowman) Olsen. She spent most of her childhood in Minnesota until moving to Yankton where she graduated from Yankton High School. She married Kenneth Stucky Sr. on October 15, 1954 in Vermillion, South Dakota. They lived their entire lives in Yankton and Doris worked for the Yankton County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS). She worked for ASCS for 35 years and was very proud of her work and her affiliations with RASCOE, NARFE and SDASCOE agricultural organizations. She was very active in these organizations and enjoyed traveling to their conventions and training programs. After her retirement in 1991, Doris worked part time as a secretary for The Center in Yankton and later for Dr. Donald E. Neil at Mount Marty College in Yankton. Doris was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton and enjoyed camping, reading, puzzles, traveling and the Minnesota Twins. She will always be remembered for her easy going attitude, her wonderful laugh and her contagious smile. She had a heart of gold and loved having all of her family together. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her two daughters: Karen (Jeff) LeRoss of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Teresa (Kim) Termansen of Yankton; four sons: Stephen (Robyn) Stucky, Mark (Geena) Stucky, Kenneth Jr. (Debbie) Stucky and Jim (Michelle) Stucky all of Yankton; 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and her sister, Clarene Junker of Kokomo, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Stucky Sr. on April 17, 2013 and her sister, Margaret Osborne.
