Donna Hacecky McCarville

Donna Hacecky McCarville, age 89, of Mountain Home, Arkansas and formerly of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. Memorial services are 11:00 AM, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Reverend Levi Willms officiating. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Donna Dilley Hacecky McCarville was born February 9, 1930 in Yankton, South Dakota to Monroe and Blanche (Barrington) Dilley. The youngest of four siblings, she grew up in Mission Hill, SD where she went to grade school. Donna then graduated from Yankton High School. On September 16, 1948, she married Floyd Hacecky in Yankton. After their marriage, they farmed in rural Yankton and raised their two children on the farm. The family later moved to Riverside Acres where she continued to work for Federal Crop Insurance and later at the Social Security Office. Donna retired in 1990 in Sacramento, CA. After three years of RV traveling, they settled down in Lakeview, AR. Donna and her husband were both pilots and she loved to fly. She also enjoyed fishing and singing. Donna sang in the church choir and also the Barbershop Chorus for several years. She became very active in her church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, especially after her husband, Floyd passed away in 2008. In 2012, she met David McCarville and they were happily married for only 2½ years. Donna is survived by two children, Kim (Karen) Hacecky of Yankton and Karla (Tom) Tastad of Sioux Falls; five grandchildren: Jesse (Erin) Hacecky, Sam Tastad, Matthew Tastad, Natasha (Brian) Olsen and Marc (Bridget) Zweber; 13 great grandchildren: Alex, Gabriel, Catherine, Amanda, Gauge, Aaron, Casey, Ray, Ashlie, Catie, Brantley, Gracie and Mason; step daughter, Kathy (Mike) Fara; step daughter-in-law, Roxanne McCarville; five step grandchildren: Steve (Leigh) Fara, Eric (Katie) Fara, Sharon (Burk) Blanchard, Brandon (Shaye) McCarville, and Megan (Spencer) Lauber; eight step great grandchildren: Logan, Skylar, Brycen, Caden, Patterson, Landon, Rylan and Madden; one nephew; six nieces; and her special friends at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two brothers, Dwight (Sally) Dilley and Garrell (Nita) Dilley; sister, Rhetta (Elmer) Aaseth; step son, Kevin McCarville; and a niece and nephew.
