Charlotte Leise, age 96 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Arbor Care Center in Hartington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Tuesday, at church, from 5-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

Pallbearers will be Andy Leise, Dylan Leise, Eric Leise, TJ Johnson, Jim Brummer and Gayle Brummer.

Charlotte Adeline was born on May 2, 1929 in Bow Valley, NE to Francis “Frank” and Clara (Hegge) Brummer. She grew up in the Bow Valley area and attended elementary school there. Charlotte graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington. She received her teacher’s certificate from Wayne State College. Charlotte taught for several years before marrying Ralph Joseph Leise on April 14, 1953 in Bow Valley. She and Ralph raised four children, Mike, Steve, Karen, and Tom. Charlotte worked for many years at the jewelry store in Hartington for Dorothy Culhane, Pat Dreesen, and Diane Riddle.

Charlotte belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and held an hour of adoration for many years. She also was a member of the Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America and was a former president of the Ladies Guild.

Charlotte loved being a grandmother and adored every new baby. She was also an excellent cook and gardener. Charlotte was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed playing any card game. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling until her later years.

Charlotte is survived by her three children – Steve (Brenda) Leise of Hartington, Karen Henke of Omaha, Tom (Lisa) Leise of Omaha; eight grandchildren – Jordan (Jason) Zellers, Andy (Karen) Leise, Cara (Nick) Cattaneo, Dana (Jeremy) Koontz, Karisa Johnson, Jennifer (Fred) Potmesil, Christine Leise, and Eric Leise; 14 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law Jolene Leise of Hartington, and Loraine Brummer of Bow Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Clara Brummer; husband Ralph on March 25, 2008 at the age of 80 years; son Mike; son-in-law Randy Henke; siblings Duane (Margie) Brummer, and Sylvan Brummer, brothers-in-law Harold Leise and Eugene (Jeannette) Leise; sisters-in-law Elaine Leise and Monica (William, "Bill") Loberg.
