Brian John Wolff, age 60, of Yankton, South Dakota, died suddenly on Monday, July 14, 2025, at his home in Yankton.

A memorial service will be 1:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota, with Pastor Spencer Keroff officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Friday at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home.

Brian John Wolff was born August 11, 1964, in Pierre, South Dakota to John and Caroline (Artz) Wolff. He grew up in the Yankton, South Dakota area and graduated from Yankton High School. After high school he moved to Pleasant Valley, South Dakota and worked on the farm with his aunt and uncle. He married Kristi Peckham in 1986. He then joined the United States Navy and was stationed in the Seattle, Washington area, serving from 1986 to 1990. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Brian moved back to Pleasant Valley and worked odd jobs in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In 2000, he started his own business, Wolff Sprinklers, and operated that in the Aberdeen area for a few years. He continued to work odd jobs in Aberdeen, doing just about everything from Sprinklers, to construction to even working in a pit crew for racecars. He moved to Yankton to help care for his mother, remodeling her home and caring for her needs.

Brain was a hardworking, generous man who would do anything for anyone. He loved grilling and smoking meats and would often volunteer to provide the smoked meats for area fundraisers and events, donating both his time and the meat. He often worked odd jobs for people or helped them with their sprinklers, not expecting anything in return. He loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, ice fishing, camping, or just exploring caves around the lake. He loved spending time with his son, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his son, Cory Wolff of Aberdeen, South Dakota; grandchildren: Madalynn and Cayson Wolff; sister, Kim (Randy) Tramp of Yankton, South Dakota; 12 nieces and nephews: Kristina, Alicia, Danielle, Brooke, Alisha, Austin, Noah, Kalli, Tristan, Aaron, Aliah, and Aidan; as well as many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John Wolff Jr. and Caroline Walsh.
