Arlan D. Albrecht, age 81 of Menominee, Nebraska died on Saturday July 12, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
A Memorial service will be on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, Nebraska with the Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Menominee. Visitation will be on Thursday, at church, from 5-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arlan’s Grandchildren – Jess Klug, Dominic Pedersen, Owen Pedersen, Wade Pedersen, and Ashlyn Grace Pedersen; and also his two great granddaughter’s – Holly Pedersen and Maddie Klug, and two on the way.
Arlan Dean was born on January 22, 1944 in Menominee, Nebraska to Leonard W. and Florence M. (Hoebelheinrich) Albrecht. He grew up in Menominee and began working in stone and masonry for M & L and numerous other contractors for his entire working career. Arlan made a lot of brick layer friends thru the years. He also did some “hobby farming” on his own. Arlan married Patricia Louise Jenkins on October 3, 1964 in Menominee.
Arlan was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He loved hunting deer, pheasants, raccoons, and coyotes. Arlan also enjoyed fishing and snagging spoonbill. He loved is dogs – Otis and Jax. Arlan would often offer his opinion on matters with his children, saying “I know you don’t want to year this, But…”
Arlan is survived by his wife Pat of Menominee; three children Jody (Janet) Albrecht of St. Helena, Mike Albrecht of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Pedersen of Menominee; five grandchildren Jess Klug, Dominic Pedersen, Owen Pedersen, Wade Pedersen, and Ashlyn Grace Pedersen; and also his two great granddaughter’s – Holly Pedersen and Maddie Klug, and two on the way; two brothers Don Albrecht of Seattle, WA, Allen (Yvonne) Albrecht of Pacifica, CA, sister Mary (Jean) Hochstein of Wynot.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; sister-in-law Helen Albrecht.
