Anna Cecilia Goeden was born June 1, 1949, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Elmer and Eunice (Cera) Anderson. She grew up on a farm near Mission Hill, South Dakota and attended school in Volin, South Dakota. She married Marvin Bohlman on April 4, 1966 in Yankton and together had three children: Margaret, Marvin Jr., and Kathy. After their marriage, they lived in Yankton, South Dakota and then South Sioux City, Nebraska for a few years until settling in Utica, South Dakota in 1977. Together they owned and operated Marv’s Bar and Grill and Annie’s Disco in Utica from 1977 until Marv’s sudden death in 1990. Annie continued operating the bar until her retirement in 2022. She married Lee Goeden on April 4, 1992 in Yankton.
Annie loved living on the farm near Utica and loved tending to her many flower gardens and animals. She loved being outdoors soaking up the sun, as well as bowling, softball, playing pool and traveling, including a trip to Italy to see her grandmother and extended family. She was always working and having fun. She showed her love through food, catering and cooking for many events and special occasions. She was always putting everyone else first including strangers, whether it was sharing her canned goods with anyone in need or in her last days making sure her family knew she loved them.
Survivors include her two daughters: Margaret (Ted Maple) Winckler of Ames, Nebraska and Kathy (Richard) Kruse of Gladstone, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Ashley Winckler, Meagan (Logan Higginbotham) Winckler, Rev. Michael (Abby) Winckler, Cassandra (Spencer) Halstead, Bradley Kruse, Douglas (Kim Acer) Kruse, and Brianna Kruse; six great grandchildren: Makinzy, Addisyn, Thomas, Charles, William, and one on the way; as well as her brother, Albert (Mary Lou) Anderson.
