Alphonse “Pete” Jansen, age 72, of Yankton, South Dakota and formerly of Fordyce, Nebraska, died on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Avera Majestic Bluffs Hospice House in Yankton.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, on Friday, July 31, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce, Nebraska with Reverend Eliot Schwer officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Thursday, July 30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.
