Alisha Dawn Tramp, age 32, had her life taken in February 2026.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at River City Assembly of God at 801 West 25th Street in Yankton with Pastor Spencer Keroff officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.
Alisha Dawn was born on December 22, 1993 to William Haneklaus and Jacki Hammack. Randy and Kim Tramp adopted her on March 30, 1999. In her early elementary years, we homeschooled Alisha Dawn. She attended fifth grade at Beadle School, then Yankton Middle School and High School.
Young Alisha Dawn loved gymnastics, choir, and reading. She was very dramatic, outgoing, and spoke her mind. You never had to guess what she thought. She told you. As a teenager, Kim and I had a code word, “Little Bird.” We could discuss her in open, until she figured it out, as she did most things. She loved and participated in church summer camp in the Black Hills for several summers from elementary school through her high school years. As an older teenager, she traveled with Jay Risner (now Missionary to Africa), helping lead worship and camp activities. She had a believer's baptism on June 17, 2001, in the Missouri River.
During her teen years and into young adult life, she worked at Hy-Vee, Yesterday’s Café, and Frying Pan. In adulthood, she ran a business, Elegant Colors. It was a residential remodeling and sign specialist. Her slogan: “Let’s Make Your Vision a Reality.” She would call and excitedly tell us about her projects. She loved collecting rocks. We’d hear about her adventures to the Black Hills, searching for precious rocks. She was quite a risk taker.
Alisha Dawn often spoke of her children. She loved them very much. When the children were with her, she’d often be on the floor playing with them. At heart, she was a little child herself. A favorite song she’d play for them was “The Boat Song” by JJ Heller. Her laugh was contagious, and many remember her for that.
Alisha Dawn's surviving children (in the custody of Randy and Kim) are Aliah, Gage, Legacy, and Kieran. She is also survived by her adopted family: Kristina (Dave), Alicia (Jack), Danielle (Tay), Austin (who is also a biological brother to Alisha Dawn), Brooke, Noah (Destiny), Kalli, Aliah (who is also Alisha Dawn’s biological daughter adopted by Randy and Kim), Tristan, Aaron, Aidan; biological and stepbrothers and sisters: Douglas Little, Stephanie Sue Haneklaus, Jonathan Ray, William Henry Wright, Shyleaha Marie Wright; grandparents; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations that would go to organizations dealing with addiction.
