Albert Lee was born December 20, 1936, at home in Cedar County, Nebraska, to Russell and Joan (Taute) Halleen. He grew up in the Maskell/Newcastle, Nebraska area and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1954. He moved to California to pursue work, while working as a bartender he met his love, Norma Lee Stewart. They married on December 20, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada and together they built their life and raised a family in California. Norma passed away in 1996, but the love and family they created together continued to be an important part of Albert Lee’s life. His lifelong career was working as a machinist at Del Mar Diecasting in Gardena, CA until he retired in 2004. Albert Lee passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026 with his family by his side.

He loved watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. He enjoyed attending their sporting events and activities, looked forward to the yearly Halleen Family Vacations and never missed a Taute Family Reunion. The time spent surrounded by family was among the things our dad treasured the most.

Albert Lee may no longer be here to lend a helping hand or sit among his family at a reunion, but the love he gave them will remain. His family will carry his memory forward - in the stories they tell and the traditions they continue

Though his chair may now be empty and his voice will be missed. Our dad will be remembered as a devoted Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind a family who will miss his presence, his stories, his helping hand and the quiet ways he showed his love.

His life was a gift         His memories are a treasure           His family is his legacy

Survivors include his five children: Scott (Valerie) Halleen, Russell Halleen, Robert Noorigian, Tamara (Michael) Bogroff, and Teresa Douglas; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Joan; wife, Norma; daughter, Rhonda; two siblings: Bruce and Beverly; two nephews: David and Doug

No local services will be held in Nebraska - A Celebration of Life will be held in California.
