Duane M. Yellow, age 50, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Friday, October 4, 2013 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Memorial services are 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Pastor Bob Cappel officiating. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home.
Duane was born September 30, 1963 in Hughes County, South Dakota to Francis and Etta (Traversie) Yellow. He spent his early years living in Watertown, Redfield and Custer, South Dakota. Duane lived in Huron, South Dakota from 1995 to 2007 and then moved to Yankton. He had a relaxed easygoing attitude with a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh and smile. Duane enjoyed being involved in his Native American culture and community. He also enjoyed listening to music, going to dances and on drives. Duane loved being around others and enjoyed the company of his friends.
Duane is survived by his family and friends at Ability Building Services and also Chuck and Charlii Gilson of Yankton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
