Christopher Noel Savoy, age 49 of Wynot, Nebraska died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church in Wynot with the Rev. Eric Olsen officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Aaron Rivette, John Carol Savoy III, Fred L. Robinson, John Paul Savoy, David Alan Savoy, Brandon Alexander McCormick.
Christopher Noel Savoy was born on December 18, 1965 in Vidor, Texas to John Carol and Geraldine Marie (Fertitta) Savoy Sr. He grew up in Vidor, Texas and graduated from Vidor High School. Chris entered the Army in 1981 and was honorably discharged. He worked in Texas as a roofer for over 20 years. Chris retired from his roofing career and then moved to Wynot to live with his brother John.
Chris was an extremely devoted hard worker, very educated, and had a heart of gold. He was always a caring and giving person and loved to help anyone he could. Chris did leather work and woodworking, and loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Chris is survived by his daughter Carrie Leann Savoy and Hunter Aaron Rivette of Sour Lake, TX; granddaughter Brooke Marlene Rivette, Sour Lake, TX; two brothers John Carol Savoy of Wynot, NE, David Alan Savoy of Vidor, TX; two sisters Anna Marie Hampshire of Vidor, TX; Monica Elaine Barron of Vidor, TX; many nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents John and Geraldine; brother Stephen Bernard Savoy; sister Mary Elizabeth Queen; brothers-in-law Bruce Wayne Hampshire and Aaron Barron; niece Summer Erika Barron; nephew Beaux Edwin Barron.
