Velma L. Klein, age 91, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Reverend Robert Wullweber officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service at 4:00 PM.
Pallbearers are Jon Beene, Joe Hoffman, Jeremy Washburn, Larry Washburn, Dean Washburn, and Russell Hoffman.
Velma L. Klein was born July 13, 1923 in Milboro, South Dakota, to James and Matilda (Nedved) Krovoza. Velma married Conrad Klein on October 29, 1976 in Yankton, South Dakota. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing bingo. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the Center in Yankton.
Survivors include her two children: Leoma Beene of Tennessee and Robert (Diane) Nelson of Colorado; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; sister, Norma Washburn of Yankton; many nieces and nephews; and special niece, Lori Hoffman of Mission Hill, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Conrad Klein; two brothers, Ray and Jim Krovoza; and three sisters: Marie Killian, Helen Thompson, and Mae Cantrell.
