Dorothy (Dort) Irene Hahne, age 94, of Coleridge, Nebraska, died on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge.

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Coleridge with the Rev. Marci Jansen officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Ridge Cemetery in rural Coleridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Jim Heil, Larry Heil, Mike Hahne, Shane Hahne, Dan Hahne, Clint Jorgensen, Monte Jorgensen, Dave Hahne, and Darin Hahne.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kathy Jaggers, Dianne Collins, Sharon Burleson, Patty Lewis, Kim Padilla, Julie Strickland, Jeanne Stevens, and Angie Janssen.

Dorothy Irene Hahne was born on September 12, 1913 in Coleridge, NE to William and Margaret (Carlson) Lewon. She grew up and lived in the Coleridge area all her life. She married Irvin Ludwig Hahne on May 12, 1930 in Yankton, SD. Irvin died on November 11, 1981 at the age of 70 years.

Dorothy belonged to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved to travel, crochet, play cards and ceramics. She even enjoyed a little gambling now and then. She had been a resident of Park View Haven Nursing Home since March of 2007.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Rosey and Neal Hodges of Rapid City, SD, Janet Jorgensen of Pioneer, CA, Mert and Judy Hahne of Coleridge; one sister, Pearl Bach of Coleridge; 17 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband Irvin; one infant daughter, Delores; one son, Robert Louis Hahne; one daughter-in-law, Carol Jorgensen Hahne; and one son-in-law, Dewey Jorgensen.
