Her father, with assistance by her grandparents, raised Mickie and her brother, Gene. She later became active in the Senior Center bridge and pinochle groups. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bowling, baking goodies, spending time with family, close friends and neighbors. She liked motorcycles and going on picnics. She will be greatly missed by her large, loving family.
She married Robert R. Cooper on June 9, 1984. They enjoyed attending Nebraska Husker games and other sports' events, traveling, dancing, and attending many family gatherings. Mickie moved to Ashland, Nebraska in October of 2009 to live with her son Jerry and his wife Barb Froistad.

My condolences to the Cooper Family. I know you are going to miss Marchita very much. Even with a firm hope for the future, death is still accurately described as an enemy. So we can't help but feel the void when someone we love dies. The Bible however, holds out a hope that we may see our loved ones again as John 5:28-29 says: all those in God's memory will be brought back to life. I hope this bring you comfort during this difficult time.
My condolences to Mickie's family (my cousins). Our parent's generation is almost completely gone. Your extended family has always been both close and strong. I hope your closeness will carry you through this sad time.
