A private family service will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Georgiana was born April 27, 1923, in Turlock, California, to Arthur O. and M. Edna (Lange) Johnson. She had one brother, Robert, and a special "sister cousin", Evelyn (Swanson) Ohlen. In 1928, Georgiana's parents returned from California to their native South Dakota and owned a farm on the Box Elder divide, east of Rapid City. Georgiana, her brother, and cousins (who lived on a neighboring farm) shared many good times together, including riding to their one-room school house in a horse drawn wagon.
